Abstract
In the absence of a clear history of an IgE-mediated allergic reaction, diagnostic testing for cashew nut allergy using cashew specific IgE (sIgE) or skin prick testing (SPT) leaves many unclear diagnoses, requiring an oral food challenge (OFC) for accurate diagnosis. Oral food challenges provide a definitive diagnosis of food allergy but are limited in availability and are expensive and labor-intensive.1
