Abstract

This chapter presents several cases related to the study of criminal evidence. These cases studies include the case of Craft versus State, Trammel versus United States, and State versus Anthony. In the first case, Rodney Craft was tried by a jury and convicted of two counts of child molestation. He was sentenced to forty years, ten in confinement and thirty on probation. The second case discusses whether an accused may invoke the privilege against adverse spousal testimony so as to exclude the voluntary testimony of his wife. The third case presents the case of David Lamar Anthony, who was charged with murdering his three children. Anthony was convicted of three counts of first-degree murder after a jury trial in Maricopa County Superior Court. Three death sentences were imposed on him.
