CIVITEX is a data-based information and referral service that seeks to link local leaders and activism who are confronted with community problems with those who have solved them. CIVITEX recently compleied a one-year verification program of all its profiles; contact information is supplied for those programs that responded to the verification questionnaire. Renders who know of local projects in which citizen initiative has been used in innovative ways to achieve positive change are encouraged to help CIVITEX expand its base of active profiles.
