Abstract

Objective To explore the application of case-based learning(CBL)teaching approach in probation of eight-year medical program. Methods 88 clinical medicine students of eight-year program of grade 2009 and 2010 were as the control group, and 81 clinical medicine students of eight-year program of grade 2011 and 2012 were as the experimental group. In control group, we tried to take CBL teaching method and collected targeted improving measures. The improved CBL teaching was applied for experimental group. After the course, the teaching effect was evaluated by questionnaire. Results The level of satisfaction, adaption and interestingness were improved greatly in experimental group. The improved CBL teaching can improve clinical ability effectively. Conclusions Practice shows that well-designed and well-organized CBL teaching can be better accepted and recognized by medical students in probation, providing new ideas for clinical teaching reform.
