Abstract

Tumor lysis syndrome is caused by rapid lysis of tumor cells with resultant electrolyte abnormalities, usually occurring in the setting of hematologic malignancies 1 Baeksgaard L Sørensen JB. It can occur spontaneously, but it is most associated with the initiation of cytotoxic chemotherapy.
