Abstract

A two-year-old Arabian colt with abdominal distress of 48 hours duration was diagnosed as having a displacement of the large colon. During exploratory celiotomy a nephrosplenic ligament entrapment of the large colon with devitalization of the pelvic flexure was identified. The displacement was corrected and the compromised segment was resected.
