Abstract

The radiological findings of a case of long-standing pyothorax-associated pleural lymphoma (PAL) are presented. The patient was a 68-year-old man with a 42-year history of chronic empyema after artificial pneumothorax for treatment of pulmonary tuberculosis. Computed tomography (CT) was helpful for detecting calcification and adjacent bone structures, and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) was useful for evaluating the chest wall extension and the intra-cavitary component of the tumour.
