Abstract

Reporting a case of a 57-year-old male with progressive visual and field loss diagnosed with planum sphenoidale meningioma after further investigation. The patient initially had difficulty in near work, which further progressed to severe visual loss in the left eye and almost a complete field defect in the right eye after which he underwent imaging. A planum sphenoidale meningioma was reported on imaging, and the patient underwent an excision surgery. At five-month follow-up postsurgery, a complete visual recovery was seen which was maintained at one-year follow-up as well. Thus, early recognition and timely management of planum sphenoidale meningiomas can lead to full visual recovery.
