Abstract

Presentation of CaseA 14-year-old boy was admitted to the hospital because of fever, lymphadenopathy and skin lesions.He was in excellent health until six weeks previously, when he began to experience increasing fatigue while working after school. Four weeks before entry he became anorectic, with a rise of the temperature to 39.9°C. The fever persisted, and one week later he noticed swelling in the left cervical region. His weight had diminished by 3 kg. Three weeks before admission he entered another hospital, where examination disclosed that he appeared ill, with a cough that was occasionally productive of small amounts . . .
