Abstract
Reference current extraction is vital for the successful operation of active power filter. In this paper, a frequency- locked loop based on cascaded second-order generalized integrator is presented for constructing reference current required for active filter in frequency-wild power systems such as more electric aircraft and ships. This technique does not involve any complicated calculations and transforms. Moreover, proposed method is capable of tracking large ramp variation and step change in frequency. Simulation results are presented to prove the usefulness of proposed technique.
