Abstract

The first section briefly describes how the Web came to be and discusses the conceptual models that control the Web's functionality. The second section of the paper is an overview of a variety of cartographic Web resources (ranging from federal to commercial to educational) that are available on the Web. These sites offer tremendous resources for use in the classroom, research, and even leisure activities.
