Abstract

The carrying capacity calculation of passenger dedicated line (PDL) stations in China now uses the method of existing line stations. However the existing method cannot completely reflect the characteristics of transportation organization of the PDL. Based on the traditional formula method, this paper analyzed the influential factors of the carrying capacity of PDL stations and calculated the receiving and departure capacity of each car yard. Then the theoretical carrying capacity of the station is calculated. Using the method mentioned above, this paper developed a Station Theoretical Carrying Capacity Calculating System, and calculated the theoretical capacity of a case. Taking into account the theoretical capacity and simulated capacity, with RailSys simulation method, this paper researches the relationship between the theoretical carrying capacity and the practical simulation carrying capacity of the PDL station.
