C-arm X-ray system combined with electromagnet in the extraction of orbital or periorbital magnetic foreign bodies

Abstract

Objective To evaluate the effect of C-arm X-ray system combined with electromagnet in the extraction of orbital or periorbital magnetic metal foreign bodies.Methods The orbital or periorbital magnetic metallic foreign bodies comfirmed by CT were located by C-ann X-ray system and extracted by electromagnet.Results All cases of foreign bodies were extracted once without complication.Conclusion The use of C-arm X-ray system combined with electromagnet in the extraction of orbital or periorbital magnetic metallic foreign bodies has higher practical value.
