Abstract

“I am a community centred scientist, meaning I don’t do any public health work that is not relevant to the community”, says Carlos E Rodríguez-Díaz, Associate Professor and Vice Chair of the Department of Prevention and Community Health at George Washington University–Milken Institute School of Public Health in Washington, DC, USA. His research focuses on public health intervention development with and for populations made socially vulnerable in Puerto Rico, the Caribbean region, and the USA, including people with HIV, incarcerated individuals, Latinx people, and sexual and gender minority groups.
