Abstract
To examine caregiver training used within brain injury inpatient facilities, report descriptions of caregiver trainings and mastery outcomes, and report hospital-driven cost outcomes to determine hospital benefit. The review informs recent policy that advocates for providing inpatient caregiver training for families of clients with acquired brain injuries. Providing this evidence will also inform practice to ensure that caregiver needs are met, best practice is established, and hospital readmission costs are reduced.
