Abstract
Abstract The following article examines the career paths of employees who head interlibrary loan units in the Amigos service region. Based on a survey of 136 Heads of Interlibrary Loan in Arkansas, Arizona, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Texas, the article provides a profile of the education and experience of these managers. Annual borrowing and lending statistics and respondents' opinions concerning the most important qualifications needed in their positions are also quantified.
