Advances in cancer treatment have increased patient survival, as well as susceptibility to cardiovascular disease, not only due to the increase in risk factors but also as a result of the treatment itself.Cardiotoxicity related to antineoplastic drugs is one of the most feared cardiovascular effects during or after chemotherapy treatment, and it is associated with unfavorable prognosis in cancer survivors.
