Abstract

This monograph, coauthored by a gynecologic oncologist and pathologist of distinction, is aimed at the practicing physician and serves its purpose well. It is concise, presented with clarity, and offers an overview of this tumor problem, including literature review, for the clinician who may require an update in his information about this common tumor. The expertise of the authors in the clinical aspects of this disease is evident and offers the clinician a modern view of diagnosis and treatment. In the case of the correlated oncologic sciences related to the tumor problem herein presented, the reader, of course, can only receive an introduction to these considerations in this short monograph, though the areas of special scientific expertise of these seasoned oncologists are evident. In other areas, the authors clearly express their own views of problems under current investigation and discussion. This is a useful volume that will enhance the literature
