Abstract

A woman presented with recurrent urinary tract infection and hematuria. Physical examination revealed an anterior vaginal wall mass, and urine cytology was positive for malignant cells. Urethroscopy revealed a diverticulum arising from the posterolateral urethral wall and containing a polypoid mass. This was confirmed by transvaginal ultrasound (Fig. 1), and magnetic resonance imaging showed enhancement of the mass (Figs. 2, 3). Biopsy confirmed an adenocarcinoma. The diverticulum was excised through a combined transvaginal and suprapubic approach, and the patient received radiotherapy for 6 months. Follow-up at 18 months showed no evidence of tumor recurrence.
