Abstract
Endometrial carcinoma is seen usually in the postmenopausal age. There are only case reports in the women aged 30 years or less. The aim was to evaluate endometrial carcinoma in women aged 30 years or younger and share our experience in the management of this malignancy in this young age. This was a retrospective study from January 2008 to January 2020. A total of 12 out of 562 patients of carcinoma endometrium were of age 30 years or younger. All patients underwent surgical staging. The required data were collected for the clinical and histopathological analysis. Institutional ethical committee approval was taken. The incidence of carcinoma endometrium in women up to 30 years of age was 2.1%. The patients were of the age of 26 to30 years. The common associations were obesity, nulliparity, infertility and polycystic ovarian pattern on imaging. Most of the cases had early stage disease with 50% involvement of myometrium were also seen. Carcinoma endometrium in women aged 30 years or less is very rare. It is usually associated with endometrioid histology, early stage disease and very good outcome, but we can have adverse prognostic factors such as high grade disease and lymphovascular space invasion. Conservative management may be offered only in selective patients.
