Abstract
and the United States. The work is divided into four parts: (1) social and practical psychiatry (social psychiatry, mental hygiene, psychiatric education and training, organization of psychiatric hospitals and other facilities) ; (2) forensic and administrative psychiatry (legislation, sexual perversion, and related matters) ; (3) psychiatry in relation to religion, ethnology, and art; and (4) psychiatry and war conditions (military psychiatry, prisoners of war, concentration camps, refugees, psychiatry and starvation). While space does not permit any discussion of specific topics, all those concerned with mental health and illness should be aware of this volume as well as its two companions. GEORGE ROSEN
