Abstract
Carbonyl-ene reactions are significant and efficient C─C bond forming reactions between alkenes and carbonyl compounds. In this field, the carbonyl-ene reactions using low reactive alkenes such as monosubstituted alkenes and low reactive carbonyl compounds such as carbon dioxide (CO2) have been one of the most difficult and challenging topics. Recent advanced carbonyl-ene-type reactions of alkenes with CO2 and related coupling reactions of allylic C(sp3)─H bond in alkenes with CO2 by the utilization of metal catalysis and the combination of Lewis acid and Lewis base are introduced.
