Abstract

Benefitting from high field enhancement and great stability of carbon nanotubes, ultrafast photoemission from carbon nanotubes emitter excited by a 410 nm femtosecond laser has been realized in the field-driven regime with 0.25 eV energy spread, as described by Qing Dai and co-workers in article number 1701580. These results pave the way toward electron microscopy with ultimate spatio-temporal resolution.
