Abstract

The carbon nanotubes are expected to have a wide variety of interesting electrical and mechanical properties. For the potential applications of nanoelectronics, carbon nanotubes are ranged from fabricating individual transistor devices at nanometer scale to wiring in integrated circuits. Their high stiffness, coupled with their low density, implies that carbon nanotubes might be useful as nanoscale fibers in ultrastrong, lightweight composite materials. In this article, we introduce the recent approach of carbon nanotubes and discuss their future of applications.
