Abstract

Polyethylene terephthalate (PET) is used as the substrate of a carbon nanotube (CNT)-film heater to improve its mechanical robustness. The thermal response is improved by using thin PET and downsizing the CNT-film area. Thermal response times from room temperature to 100 °C of 2 and 5 s are achieved. An addressable microheater array is fabricated and used in thermochromic displays. Detailed facts of importance to specialist readers are published as ”Supporting Information”.
