Abstract

The conductive carbon layers (CCL) derived from hydrophilic polymer precursors based on poly( N -vinylformamide) were applied in preparation of cathode as well as anode composites for Li -ion batteries. The electrical, chemical and textural properties of obtained electrode composites were determined for the defined purpose. The results show that proposed method of composite preparation is very versatile and easy to control. Moreover, a water mediated method of the electrode composites preparation should be environmentally friendly. The proposed surface modification of the electrode materials should improve the safety and performance of the Li -ion batteries.
