Abstract

AbstractIn the present article, it has been studied the gas–liquid mass transfer process corresponding to carbon dioxide/2,2,4‐trimethylpentane (isooctane) and carbon dioxide/cyclohexane systems, and it has been characterized in relation to the effect caused by the operation variables, such as stirring rate and gas flow‐rate. The non‐linear nature of the alkanes used in this article has been analyzed using the comparison with the behaviour previously observed behaviour in the carbon dioxide/linear alkanes absorption process. Different models have been used to correlate the experimental mass transfer coefficient and to compare the fitting results.
