Abstract

The results of an investigation into carbon dioxide fluxes by means of the eddy covariance technique in an ecosystem of meso-oligotrophic peatland in the European northeast of Russia during the transitional period from autumn to winter are given. The effect of temperature at the soil surface on R eco and the effect of solar radiation on NEE are found. The value of the carbon dioxide flux decreased as the stable snow cover on the peatland developed, but it did not disappear.
