Abstract
The possibility of qualified use of heavy oil residues and oil refining waste as carbon additives in coal charges in the production of metallurgical coke is considered. The involvement of petroleum coke fines and coking additives in coal charges can significantlyimprove the operational properties of blast furnace coke. The available and promising technologies for obtaining sintering additives using heavy oil residues are considered and compared.
