Abstract

Comparing high resolution carbon-13 NMR and thermogravimetric analysis (TG), one can say that both methods are complementary. From NMR it was possible to determine the total range of compatibility between ethylene-co-vinylacetate (EVA) reject/phenolic resin/Cashewnut Shell Liquid (CNSL) blends. The TG analysis supported the response obtained by NMR techniques, such as cross-polarization/magic angle spinning (CP/MAS) with variable contact time solid-state.
