Abstract

The application of carbon-13 N.M.R. microsample probe techniques has been employed to show the presence of dihydrotutin and dihydrohyenanchin as trace components of a range of toxic honeydew honeys. The 13C N.M.R. spectra of a series of compounds related to tutin, hyenanchin and picrotin have been assigned.
