Abstract

The Methods in Organic Chemistry series is a resource for the synthetic chemist. It is a handbook for preparative methods in organic chemistry organized accoring to the class of compound or functional group to be synthesized. It gives the synthetic chemist and pharmacist a rational overview of important preparative methods for various classes of compounds. International in scope, this book presents coverage of three- and four-membered carbocyclic ring systems. There are suggestions for syntheses, and practical solutions for problems, saving the reader time and extensive research. The preparative significance of the methods is critically evaluated and the scope of application carefully designed and illustrated in detail.
