Abstract

The synthesis of new cationic alkenyl Fischer-type gold(I) complexes through a carbene transfer reaction of chromium and tungsten alkenyl Fischer carbene complexes with LAu1Cl complexes in the presence of AgSbF 6 is reported. The stability of the resulting gold(I) carbene complexes highly depends on the nature of the ligand (L). We have used unstable gold(I) carbene complexes for developing some catalytic reactions of Fischer carbene complexes. © 2009 American Chemical Society.
