Abstract

The objective of this research was to evaluate the effects of green manure on the soil. The experiment was carried out in the field, using a randomized block design, considering five treatments: control, guandu beans, pork beans, crotalaria spectabilis and the seed cocktail that consisted of the mixture of the seeds of all species of green manure, with five repetitions. The variables analyzed were: chemical, physical and biological parameters of the soil. Higher availability of P in the soil by pigeon pea was observed. Basal breathing showed a lower rate in the cultivation of sunnhemp. However, the other chemical, physical and biological attributes were not influenced by green manure.
