Abstract

This work presents concentration variation, characterization and evaluation of in vitro toxicity of PM 10 μm particulate material (PM10) collected at two sites in the urban area of Catalao-GO. Sampling was carried out during the period from 08/05/17 to 03/28/18. PM10 concentration measurement were in accordance with CONAMA legislation. X-ray fluorescence spectrometry identifies the mainly presence of iron and small amount phosphorus and sulfur, characteristic the PM10 as a result of soil re-suspension, vehicular emission and emissions from industrial sources. The toxicity study using PM10 as hazards particles did not show the inhibit bacterial growth.
