Abstract

Resume We show that the measurements of both sheet conductance and thickness make possible the quantitative description of the metal distribution within granular deposit on carbon film. This quantitative agreement is principally due to the fact that the tunnel-effect-conductance describes the distribution of the intergranular separation while the thickness takes more into account the mean diameter of grains. The simultaneous recording of these two measures, during the metal evaporation, allows a kinetic description of the metallic deposit formation without modifying its course.
