Abstract
This doctoral research explores the role of car share as a lever for encouraging sustainable travel behaviour. The research is based in Melbourne, but addresses gaps in international literature. The research focused on three key areas: (1) the availability and usage of shared mobility systems in Melbourne, (2) the impact of car share on travel behaviour, especially car ownership and (3) the motivators and barriers of car share use.
