Abstract
Cross sections for capture of slow neutrons by a number of elements were measured by determining the intensity of the $\ensuremath{\beta}$-activity induced under standard neutron irradiation. The number of neutrons was measured by using as standard the activity induced in Mn, the cross section for capture by Mn being taken from former experiments. Data are reported for neutron capture by ${\mathrm{Na}}^{23}$, ${\mathrm{Al}}^{27}$, ${\mathrm{P}}^{31}$, ${\mathrm{K}}^{41}$, ${\mathrm{V}}^{51}$, ${\mathrm{Cu}}^{63}$, ${\mathrm{Cu}}^{65}$, ${\mathrm{As}}^{75}$, ${\mathrm{Br}}^{79}$, ${\mathrm{Sb}}^{121}$, ${\mathrm{I}}^{127}$.
