Abstract

Objective To evaluate the efficiency of capsular tension ring (CTR) implantation in phacoemulsification in patients with subluxated lens. Methods Phacoemulsification combined with intraocular lens (IOL) implantation was performed on 25 eyes of 25 patients with subluxated lens.CTR was implanted during phacoemulsification. Results Twenty-five eyes of 25 patients with subluxated lens were implanted in the CTR and posterior chamber intraocular lens successfully.IOL dislocation in one eyes after 3 months,There was no deviation of IOL and breaking range expansion of suspensory ligament of the lens in the rest cases following up.Postoperative visual acuity was improved and the position of intraocular lens was suitable. No obvious operation complication occurred. Conclusions CTR implantation during phacoemulsification is an effective method for patients with subluxated lens.It can maintain the sac integrity, facilitate posterior chamber intraocular lens implantation, prevent deviation of IOL and reduce postoperative complications.
