Abstract

This retrospective analysis and report describes the successful testing and eradication and the ongoing surveillance program for Caprine herpesvirus 1 (CpHV-1) in a closed herd of dairy goats. The methods of eradication and surveillance for CpHV-1 described herein may also serve as an ideal model to eradicate other diseases impacting small ruminant herds.
