Abstract

Abstract Cappadocia is known in an exceptional way during Late Antiquity, especially in the fourth century. While inscriptions and archaeological remains are scarce, historiographical, legal and, most of all, religious writings shed light on the regional history of Cappadocia. Among authors of Late Antiquity, several were Cappadocians. They occasionally disclose fragments of that history.
