Abstract

Abstract Eleven species of the families Capniidae. Leuctridae. and Perlidae (Plecoptera) are recognized in a collection of stoneflies from Nepal. Five new species are described: Capnia nepalensis, sp. nov., Rhopalopsole aculeala, sp. nov., Paraleuctra tetraedra, sp. nov., Phanoperla siwalika, sp. nov., and Neoperla katmanduana., sp. nov, Rhopalopsole magnicerca (Jewett) is redescribed, Neoperla lushana Wu and N. nitida Kimmins arc reported. and specimens are tentatively assigned to Kamimuria kirinensis Wu. Females of a species of Rhopalopsole and those of an undetermined perlid are also described.
