Abstract
We study capillary condensation of symmetric binary fluid mixtures in slit like pores. The interactions between adsorbate particles are modeled by Lennard–Jones (LJ) (12,6) potentials and the adsorbing potentials are of the LJ (9,3) type. The parameters were set to induce the demixing in a bulk phase. The calculations were performed for different pore widths and at different concentrations of a bulk gas, by means of a density functional theory. On the base of the calculations, the capillary phase diagrams were evaluated and discussed.
