Abstract

The presence of both the capillary liquid on the walls of a capillary and a film of adsorbed substance on the surface of solid particles is usually taken into account when considering the processes of capillary condensation in porous bodies. The study of adsorption in porous bodies provides valuable information about the structure of the porous body itself. This aspect is important when studying the processes of freezing-thawing of various porous media. In this article, a model of capillary condensation hysteresis in porous bodies is developed. Unlike other models, our proposed model assumes the presence of capillaries with a certain length. This model allows, unlike the known models, to obtain additional information about the distribution of pores by size, namely, to calculate the number of pores of a certain size.
