Abstract

Defining equivalent people group to describe the non-motorized vehicles' and pedestrians' effect on motor vehicles, traffic flow priority of urban road unsignalized T-intersection was ranked renewedly, and it was divided into five grades. Then based on gap acceptance theory, potential capacity models of each subordinate traffic flow were established. By means of probability theory, the adjustment factor of equivalent people groups to motor traffic flow was obtained. Taking prior traffic flows' effects on subordinate traffic flows into consideration, movement capacity models of subordinate traffic flows were established. Based on the analysis above, the capacity calculation model of Urban Road Unsignalized T-intersection was obtained. Case study indicates that the capacity of motor vehicles was greatly reduced because of the non-motorized vehicles' and pedestrians' effect.
