Abstract
Non-Orthogonal Multiple Access (NOMA) is one of the candidates in the development of the 5G cellular communication system. The potential of NOMA has been shown from various research literatures proof that NOMA has a better capacity than Orthogonal Multiple Access (OMA). This opens more opportunities to fulfill the 5G requirements to provide a very large system capacity by combining the NOMA system using Multiple-Input Multiple-Output (MTMO) as known as a versatile technique to improve capacity that able to combine with various multiple access technique. This paper will present the Non-Orthogonal Multiple Access combine with Multiple-Input Multiple-Output using 8x8 antennas (NOMA-MTMO 8x8) and Orthogonal Multiple Access combine with Multiple-Input Multiple-Output using 8x8 antennas (OMA-MTMO 8x8) capacity comparison applied in Rayleigh Fading Channel for three users with combination of Power Allocation in NOMA system. Based on this result, the simulation shows that the NOMA-MTMO 8x8 able to achieve a larger sum capacity than OMA-MTMO 8x8. However, user achievable rate in NOMA with the condition that the user who has the smallest power allocation will experience saturation where this condition does not occur in the OMA system.
