Abstract
In article number 1502199, Yun-Sung Lee and co-workers present a novel bio-inspired sodium ion hybrid capacitor, constructed with superionic conductor Na3V2(PO4)3 and a cinnamon-derived highly porous, eco-friendly, activated carbon in an organic electrolyte. This novel system delivered a superior energy density of 118 Wh kg−1 and a power density of 850 W kg−1, along with excellent stability, which are the highest ever reported for sodium ion-based intercalation compounds.
