Abstract

AbstractThis letter examines the capacitance of coplanar waveguides (CPWs) in multilayer dielectric substrates.An electrostatic boundary‐value problem of CPWs in multilayer dielectric substrates is solved based on the Fourier transform, mode matching technique, and superposition considering the conductor thickness. A series representation for the capacitance is presented. The capacitance is calculated in terms of the CPW geometry to illustrate its behaviors. © 2012 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
