Abstract
The existence of Y2 – xCaxFeTaO7-δ solid solutions (x = = 0 – 0.075) with a pyrochlore-like layered structure was established. The appearance of the magnetic properties characteristic for canted antiferromagnets was observed as a result of structure distortions (space group R3¯ ® space group P3121) associated with a change of composition. Y2 – xCaxFeTaO7 –δ exhibits ferromagnetic properties already at 300 K.
