Abstract
Young people should be screened for cannabis use disorder, according to a new study, which found that young men with the condition are at elevated risk for schizophrenia. The study analyzed health records data spanning five decades and representing more than 6 million people in Denmark. The researchers found strong evidence of an association between cannabis use disorder and schizophrenia among men and women, though the association was much stronger among young men.
